Jim Burkhardt has served the Cannon Falls community for almost 50 years. In June 2022 he sold his practice to Bethany Kreisler and officially retired in December 2022. Jim's continued expertise is a great asset to our firm and when he's not busy golfing or gardening he stops in to the office to share his knowledge.
A native of the South Dakota/Iowa border area, Bethany grew up on a small farm and spent her summers going to threshing bees with her father. After studying at the University of Minnesota for her undergraduate degree, Bethany Kreisler graduated from William Mitchell College of Law in 2009.
Bethany and her husband, Aaron, moved to Cannon Falls in 2015 and were married at the Cannon River Winery. They welcomed daughter Jane later that year. Although Aaron passed away far too young in 2021, Bethany and Jane have strong roots here in Cannon Falls and love living near so many friends and relatives.
Bethany's previous experience is varied and includes work as a litigation paralegal for Xcel Energy and as a Legal Representative for Mayo Clinic. She has worked on matters including complex insurance litigation, bankruptcy, worker's compensation, debt collection, and wills and estates.
Bethany is honored to join Burkhardt & Kreisler to continue the firm's legacy in Cannon Falls.
